I thought it was about time I shared an update with you. Last week I officially received my Ethics approval to go ahead and start data collection. So, now, all of a sudden the research journey feels very real. And we're off!
I had planned to carry out face to face interviews, but one or two of you may have noticed the small matter of a pandemic happening. The greatest impact so far will be the empty shelves where once upon a time you could find the odd packet of toilet roll or kitchen roll. I'm still not clear why there has also been a rush on pasta. However, given this, I will not be travelling to conduct face to face inteviews at the moment and will be conducting telephone interviews instead. This will be more challenging but I feel well prepared. I have got the first two interviews booked for next week and I am hoping to hear from others that I have approached during the coming week.
It is likely that given the impact of Covid-19 a lot of us will be changing the ways that we are working and carrying out our daily lives. I wish everyone well and stay safe in the coming weeks.
