For the past week I haven't been able to undertake any of my PhD work. Primarily this has been due to competing work pressures, creating teaching sessions for work outside the University, marking portfolios, undertaking meetings with colleagues and students. So today I can get down to the immersion once again with my data. In many ways it is like meeting an old friend. You get a bit nervous at first but then as you get into the conversation, it becomes gradually easier and enjoyable. In fact here I am writing this journal entry on NVIVO and I can almost viscerally feel the pull to get going. I do this so as to improve my writing skills prior to writing reflections and to focus my concentration totally on my research away from the other workstreams that I am involved in. So here goes......into the depths.........
